By the way, John Paul II received every year more than one time our Thronfolger HAIRH Archduke Otto and his wife Archduchess Regina, this year His Imperial and Royal Highness was in Vienna when he spoke by the phone to His Holiness on November 20th, the day of his birthday. The relation of our Imperial and Royal House with the Catholic Church still is very strong.

And long may it remain so! Thanks for your comment, Mr. de la Tremoille. May I ask you: How did you come across my blog?
(I'll be back on Monday.)
Just by accident I have Google alerts about all articles related to Archduke Otto, I saw him this year in Paris, he gave a conference and afterwards we were invited to a dinner at the Jockey Club by the Marquis de Ganay, best regards
Best regards to you too, Mr. de la Tremoille, and thank you for letting me know how you found my blog.
Just as a matter of interest, are not the Hohenzollerns protestant - I wonder why they would be visiting the Holy Father - perhaps there have been some conversions? - hope so!
The main branch of the House of Hohenzollern Sigmaringen are Catholics they never were Lutherans like their cousins of Prussia. The Prince who visited His Holiness the Pope is Catholic as well and the head of the branch they lived in Hohenzollern Schloss in Southern Germany, not far away from France and Switzerland.
