Ms Price also writes that "occasionally charity groups such as the Salvation Army have been able to offer assistance", apparently in the form of "funds for women who had nowhere else to go". According to The Salvation Army Australian Territories' Positional Statement on abortion, "The Salvation Army … accepts that termination of a pregnancy may be justified on certain limited grounds" (and as you'll see if you read that Statement, the foetus reaching the point of viability is not one of those grounds).

Early last month, on a tediously slow Wednes-day afternoon, [Senator The Hon. 10. Msgr. Williamson on, among other things, the "Note on the conclusions of the canonical visit to the Institute of the Good Shepherd" in France
The following is the text of Eleison Comments, Number CCLII (252), May 12, 2012:
FAITH KILLERSI quote the full text of the article in order to fulfill the conditions for posting it licitly to the Internet, but, as the headline of this item suggests, it is the fourth and fifth paragraphs in which I'm interested here (though the whole article is worth reading).
But if Rome offers the Society of St Pius X all that it wants, why should the SSPX still refuse ? Apparently there are Catholics still believing that if a practical agreement fulfilled all the SSPX’s practical demands, it should be accepted. So why not ? Because the SSPX was brought into existence by Archbishop Lefebvre not for its own sake, but for the sake of the true Catholic Faith, endangered by Vatican II as it has never been endangered before. But let us see here why the Newchurch authorities will seek any practical agreement as much as the SSPX must refuse it.
The reason is because the Newchurch is subjectivist, and any merely practical agreement implies that subjectivism is true. According to the new Conciliar religion, dogmas of Faith are not objective truths but symbols that serve subjective needs (Pascendi, 11-13, 21). For instance if my psychological insecurity is calmed by the conviction that God became man, then for me the Incarnation is true, in the only sense of the word “true”. So if Traditionalists have their need of the old religion, then that is what is true for them, and one can even admire how they cling to their truth. But in justice they must agree to let us Romans have our Conciliar truth, and if they cannot make that concession, then they are insufferably arrogant and intolerant, and we cannot allow such divisiveness within our Church of luv.
Thus Neo-modernist Rome would be happy with any practical agreement by which the SSPX would even only implicitly renounce its radical claim to the universality and obligation of “its” truths. On the contrary the SSPX cannot be happy with any agreement that in an action speaking louder than words would deny the objectivity of “its” religion of 20 centuries. It is not “its” religion at all. To come to an agreement with subjectivists, I have to stop insisting on objectivity. To insist on objectivity, I cannot accept any terms at all proposed by subjectivists, unless they renounce their subjectivism.
These Romans are doing no such thing. Yet another proof of their crusading insistence upon their new religion came in the form of their recent “Note on the conclusions of the canonical visit to the Institute of the Good Shepherd” in France. Readers will remember that this Institute was one of several founded after the Council to enable Traditional Catholicism to be practised under Roman authority. Rome can wait for a few years before closing in, to make sure that the poor fish is well on the hook, but then -
The “Note” requires that Vatican II and the 1992 Catechism of the Newchurch must be included in Institute studies. The Institute must insist on the “hermeneutic of renewal in continuity”, and it must stop treating the Tridentine rite of Mass as its “exclusive” rite of Mass. The Institute must enter into official diocesan life with a “spirit of communion”. In other words, the Traditional Institute must stop being so Traditional if it wants to belong to the Newchurch. What else did the Institute expect ? To keep to Tradition, it would have to get back out from under the Newchurch’s authority. What chance is there of that ? They wanted to be swallowed by the Conciliar monster. Now it is digesting them.
So why, in Heaven’s name, would it be any different with the SSPX ? Rome’s temptation may be rejected this time round by the SSPX, but let us be under no illusions: the subjectivists will be back and back and back to get rid of that objective truth and objective Faith which constitute a standing
rebuke to their criminal nonsense.
Kyrie eleison.

SSPX NOT CHECKMATED. THEY HAVE A TRUMP CARD AND A SECURE DOCTRINAL DEFENSE
There is a blog of Fra.Angelo (AirMaria) which says the Society of St.Pius X (SSPX) have been checkmated, they have no other option. They have to accept Vatican Council II (liberal version) or face the consequences. On this blog Fra.Angelo of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, has a post ‘SSPX on the brink’.
Fra.Angelo has formed his thinking, like so many Catholics, through the secular (anti Catholic) media. The SSPX are not checkmated yet. They have a secure defence, a trump card. The ace is in their hand. They can put down the winning card when they want to.They fought well for Catholic doctrine. Now it is this very doctrine which comes to their aid.
If they stay with doctrine firmly it must come to a point when their opponent is checkmated and says “To Hell with doctrine. You just say and do what we tell you”. Presently those who oppose the SSPX are still pretending that Vatican Council II and Catholic doctrine matters and that it supports them. Catholics like Fra.Angelo have fallen for the ruse.
If the SSPX accepts this false Israel-approved version of Vatican Council II they have lost. They are checkmated and Fra.Angelo would be correct. They will also have disowned Jesus.
The SSPX bishops alone can decide when and how they will play their trump card. They could accept Vatican Council II and later explain their interpretation, for example in Bishop Fellay’s case; once things have settled down he can explain his interpretation of Vatican Council II.
Or they could announce their version of Vatican Council II and let everybody else respond, in favour or against, in panic or calm. The three other bishops could use this approach. They could ask, ‘ Are you all saying that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are known to us in the present time? Please clarify this for us’.
If Lumen Gentium 16 (LG 16) on invincible ignorance and a good conscience does not contradict Ad Gentes 7 (AG 7) and if AG 7 does not contradict itself, then we can accept a Vatican Council II, a different one, but which is in agreement with the SSPX traditional position on ecumenism,Judaism and other religions.
This is the trump card.

Liturgical Abuse : Vatican Curia
'...give him a copy of the Instruction Redemptionis Sacramentum, which obviously they would not and have never read, along with the Motu Propio Summorum Pontificum:
Here is what Redemptionis Sacramentum, advises us in the event we witness a liturgical abuse:
6. Complaints Regarding Abuses in Liturgical Matters
[183.] In an altogether particular manner, let everyone do all that is in their power to ensure that the Most Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist will be protected from any and every irreverence or distortion and that all abuses be thoroughly corrected. This is a most serious duty incumbent upon each and every one, and all are bound to carry it out without any favouritism.
[184.] Any Catholic, whether Priest or Deacon or lay member of Christ’s faithful, has the right to lodge a complaint regarding a liturgical abuse to the diocesan Bishop or the competent Ordinary equivalent to him in law, or to the Apostolic See on account of the primacy of the Roman Pontiff.[290] It is fitting, however, insofar as possible, that the report or complaint be submitted first to the diocesan Bishop. This is naturally to be done in truth and charity. –from the website The Pinoy Catholic

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican Secretary of State said Jews do not have to convert in the present times in a Letter to the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. This contradicts Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II. Cardinal Bertone also had called the attention of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel to a front page article in the L'Osservatore Romano written by Cardinal Walter Kaspar in which he stated Jews do not have to convert in the present time. The front page article (April 10, 2008) in the L’Osservatore Romano was written by Cardinal Walter Kaspar. It was presented to the Chief Rabbinate of Israel by Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican Secretary of State. It was approved by the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI.The article said that Vatican Council II indicated that non Catholics can be saved. So Cardinal Kaspar concluded that Jews do not have to convert in the present times.Cardinal Bertone and Cardinal Kaspar offer Mass as usual with no public clarification.
Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, President of the Italian Catholic Bishops Conference (CEI) on Sept 22, 2009 before two Jewish rabbis gave into pressure by them and issued a CEI directive which said that Jews do not have to convert in the present times. The Cardinal stated that he had the support of the Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Bertone and the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI. There has been no contradiction from the Vatican. Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II which says all need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation. He offers Mass as usual.
Cardinal William Levada, Prefect of the Congregation for Doctrine and Faith, Vatican never issued a clarification on Sept 22, 2009 when Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco quoted Cardinal Bertone saying that the Revised Good Friday Prayer was not for the conversion of the Jews and Jews do not have to convert.
Cardinal Luiz Ladaria S.J, Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Vatican assumes invincible ignorance and being saved with a good conscience (LG 16) are explicitly known exceptions to AG 7, Vatican Council II. He says that the Church no more teaches an ecclesiocentric ecclesiology or the literal interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Since Pope Pius XII in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 corrected Fr. Leonard Feeney. (Christianity and the World Religions 1997, ITC). If Pope Pius XIII or the cardinals believed that the baptism of desire was an explicit exception to the dogma, then they obviously made an objective, factual error. The Letter of the Holy Office 1949 however, Cardinal Ladaria does not admit, supported Fr. Leonard Feeney in the first paragraphs. It refers to ‘the dogma’, ‘the infallible teaching’. The text of the dogma , addressed to the Archbishop of Boston, indicates all Jews in Boston, and the rest of he world, need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid the pains of Hell.Cardinal Ladaria offers Mass normally.
Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity and relations with the Jews, rejects the SSPX traditional position on Judaism and ecumenism. On May 16 at the Angelicum he indicated that Jews do not have to convert in the present time. He also contradicts AG 7 which indicates all people, Orthodox Christians and Protestants too, need Catholic Faith for salvation. He offers Mass as usual.

Pope Benedict XVI in Light of the World (Ignatius p.107) has repeated that Jews do not have to convert in the present times. This is contrary to Vatican Council II, the Nicene Creed (‘I believe in one baptism…), the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the Bible (John 3:5, Mk.16:16 etc).
In his ‘one channel’ of salvation (p.107) Pope Benedict XVI suggests those who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church. This is fine. However he is implying every one does not have to convert into the Church for salvation. Since he assumes that those saved in invincible ignorance and a good conscience (LG 16) are know to us and so are exceptions to the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and to AG 7, Vatican Council II.
1. Pope Benedict XVI approved the article written on the front page of the L’Osservatore Romano by Cardinal Kaspar and sent to the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. The message was Jews do not have to convert in the present times. Also it was alleged that this was taught in Vatican Council II.
2. Pope Benedict approved the meeting of Cardinal Bagnasco with the two Rabbis when Bagnasco issued a directive of the Conference of Catholic Bishops saying that Jews do not have to convert in the present times. Bagnasco claimed that it had the support of the Pope.
3. The pope approved Cardinal Bertone’s claim to the Chief Rabbinate through a Letter, public, that we Catholics had a belief in Jesus. (That was about all). And that the Chief Rabbinate had read the article by Cardinal Kaspar which said Jews do not have to convert in the present times.
The pope and his Curia have accepted these heretical positions under pressure from Talmud Jews. Newspapers have reported threats from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Now they are trying to thrust it upon the SSPX bishops with threats of excommunication. They themelf in reality do not accept Vatican Council II.Bishop Richard Williamson and the other SSPX bishops are in agreement with AG 7, Vatican Council II on ecumenism, Judaism and other religions. They only ‘say’ they reject Vatican Council II when in reality their traditional Catholic values are those of Vatican Council II. They do reject the Koch-Ladaria version of Vatican Council II which is a break from tradition with their explicitly known invincible ignorance, a good conscience etc.
To deny the Bible (John 3:5, Mk.16:16), the Nicene Creed ('I believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sin'),Vatican Council II (AG 7), Dominus Iesus 20 etc is a grave sin. A Catholic priest, bishop, cardinal or pope needs to issue a clarification to remove the scandal and to personally receive absolution in the Confessional when they know about this sin.Until then, according to Canon Law and Ecclesia di Eucarestia they are not to offer Holy Mass or receive the Eucharist.
