Notes: Tuesday, May 6-Thursday, July 31, 2014 (part 3 of 4)

14. A couple of recent developments in Gay propaganda: The Safe Schools Coalition "recently got the go ahead to go national and will roll out in New South Wales and South Australia next"; and "in Launceston and Burnie, groups of chaplains participated in professional development training about the needs of LGBTI young people. The training was conducted by Relationships Australia (RA) with the support of the Scripture Union of Tasmania which runs the Tasmanian school chaplaincy program."

The first quotation in that headline comes from the article "Victorian Safe Schools program goes national", by Mr. James Findlay, dated Friday, June 13, 2014, downloaded from the Gay News Network website:

http://gaynewsnetwork.com.au/news/national/victorian-safe-schools-program-goes-national-14127.html

That article came to my attention via the opinion piece "School Chaplains can be Friends not Foes in Anti-Homophobia Fight" (the source for the second quotation in that headline), by Mr. Rodney Croome A.M., dated June 16, 2014 (updated June 17, 2014), downloaded from the ABC's website:

(That opinion piece came to my attention via this blog post by Mr. Muehlenberg.)

The quotation, including its parenthesis, in that headline comes from the "Friday, 20 June 2014" webpage in the "Diary of Engagements" section of the official Governor of New South Wales website:

(That Vice Regal notice came to my attention via the version printed on p. 46 of The Sydney Morning Herald, Weekend Edition, June 21-22, 2014, Issue 55130, ISSN 0312-6315, published by Fairfax Media Publications Pty. Ltd.)
